Conference Format

During the past two years, the Open Repositories Steering Committee, Host Committees, and Program Committees have decided to host virtual conferences due to the on-going Covid-19 pandemic. This year we are going ahead with a physical conference in Denver based on an assessment of risks and available options. Unfortunately we will not be able to host a hybrid conference. As a volunteer organisation we do not have the resources to do so and want to ensure that the physical conference is a success. We do however intend to have some virtual sessions this year, and the Program Committee will be planning these along the conference theme.

Covid-19 Health and Safety

Open Repositories 2022 will be arranged to be Covid-19 secure. We will therefore require that all in-person attendees are vaccinated. In addition, the conference will follow venue, local and CDC requirements and regulations regarding mask wearing, social distancing and related health measures.

We acknowledge the complexities and uncertainties of planning to attend an in-person event during these times. We will continue to monitor local Covid regulations as they relate to our conference, as well as relevant federal and regional guidance. If you have questions or concerns related to our health and safety protocols, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Please do NOT attend the event if you have recently tested positive or are experienced Covid-19 symptoms.

We will continue to update the information on this page to reflect our planning; please check this page regularly in the weeks and months leading up to the conference.
