About the conference

The aim of the Open Repositories Conference is to bring those responsible for the development, implementation, and management of digital repositories together with stakeholders, such as researchers, librarians, publishers, and others. Attendees will address theoretical, practical, and strategic issues across the entire life cycle of information, from the creation and management of digital content, to enabling use, re-use, and interconnection of information, and ensuring long-term preservation and archiving. The current economic climate dictates that repositories operate across administrative and disciplinary boundaries and to interact with distributed computational services and social communities.

The Organizing Committee anticipates approximately 150-250 delegates for OR2022. Participants will include directors of digital initiatives, technical staff and developers, librarians, and repository managers as well as applied researchers in digital libraries and similar fields. The conference expects an enthusiastic audience since this will be one of the first major conferences since wide-scale travel has re-opened.

This in-person conference will follow all relevant campus, city, state, and federal guidelines for the Covid-19 pandemic. Since guidelines are in flux, updates will be posted on the conference Website as needed.
